Building your amazing team requires bunch of talented individuals,

  • so it means you need to get people who can work as a team,
  • meaning it has common vision and commitment,
  • team that you can bring in formal meetings to discuss issues.

Getting people that has the winning attitude all the way through the organization, no jealousy, and defensive behavior. It means you are having a diverse force that can bring numerous viewpoints in a productive approach. “That’s a winning team”.

So get ready with your people to “Buy In”, you need to show to your team the direction of the company and where it is headed for them to follow the direction or “buy into”.

Obviously, you will not get support from your team if you have different direction. So setting a direction is the best thing to do.

So make sure to emphasize strong points of the company or enumerate the achievements as a whole. Don’t be indecisive in confronting people in the team and demand behavior shift.

You can talk to them directly in private one on one and ask them to express their ideas, in this way you are giving them importance and somewhat will boost their confidence in the group because “someone believes in them”.
